Former Prime Minister and senior Vice Chairman of the PPP Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday said that he was consulting legal luminaries for a review petition against his disqualification as situation has changed after writing letter to the Swiss government.

Talking to media persons at the residence of his brother Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani here on Sunday, the former Prime Minister said that the PML-N won by-elections at seats vacated by it and it was not a major achievement.

He said the PPP was an ideological party and people in its fold were standing with a particular ideology which cannot be changed overnight. Gilani said that when Mian Nawaz Sharif was arrested, people changed their ideology. He said Nawaz went to Jeddah and changed himself as well. He said revolutions cannot be brought by this type of people.

In reply to a question, the former Prime Minister said that the PPP was not hesitant of elections and these would be held on time. He, however, predicted that no single party would attain majority in the elections

He said he was punished for talking in support of Saraiki province. He said as he is not member of the Parliament, he cannot take the issue of the province in the parliament. However, he said Saraiki province is his mission even today.

About the action in the context of Asghar Khan case, Gilani said if Mian Saheb is former Prime Minister, he (Gilani) too is former Prime Minister and if he was made to appear for inquiry, it would create a sense of deprivation in him.
